Wonton Soup Recipe

  • 1/4 pound pork
  • 2 1/2 ounces celery
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 6 cups hot water
  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 3/8 tablespoon salt
Wash the celery, mince and set aside. Mix egg whites, green onions, ginger and salt into the ground pork to make filling. Divide into 24 equal portions and set aside. Wrap one portion of filling inside each of the 24 wonton wrappers to make the wontons. Add 2 tbsps of oil to a large soup bowl. Preheat for 3 minutes in the microwave. Add the 6 cups of water and the wontons. Heat for 2 1/2 minutes. Sprinkle with minced celery and serve.
