Ingredients
2 teaspoons butter
16 ounces sauerkraut - well rinsed & drained
8 cups beef broth
1 can stewed tomatoes (16 ounce can)
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon Thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
1 cup bow tie pasta - uncooked
Directions
Melt butter, add kraut, stirring often, cook 2 minutes. Add broth, tomatoes and seasonings. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 25-30 minutes. Remove bay leaf, add noodles, simmer uncovered 12-15 more minutes.
