  • Starter
  • 3 tablespoons instant potatoes
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup hot tap water
  • FOR BREAD
  • 1 1/2 cups starter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 1/2 cups hot tap water
  • 6 cups flour
Directions
STARTER: Stir ingredients together and let them sit at room temperature for 8 to 12 hours, then refrigerate. After 3 to 5 days, you should feed the starter. ON the day you are ready to feet the starter, remove it from the refrigerator in the morning, add the above ingredients and let it set at room temperature for 8 to 12 hours. Stir well and remove 1 1/2 cups of starter. Refrigerate remainder.

TO MAKE THE BREAD: Add the 1 1/2 cups of starter, sugar, oil, salt and tap water. Mix well and add the flour. Stir well with a spoon. Spray large metal bowl with non-stick cooking spray and put the dough into the bowl. Spray top of dough with the spray and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise overnight or 10 to 12 hours. In the morning, place dough on floured surface and knead a few times. Divide and roll out. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste. Roll up and put in 2 bread pans which have been sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray, and spray the top of the dough, too. Let rise 4 to 8 hours and bake in 325 oven for 45 to 55 minutes. Butter top.
