Deer Jerky 4 Recipe

  • 3 pounds venison or beef, sliced into 3/8 inch strips
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 2/3 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2/3 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • Coarse ground black pepper
Combine all marinade ingredients except coarse black pepper. Dip each strip of meat in marinade. Place in gallon jar. Pour remaining marinade over meat. Let set in refrigerator 24-48 hours, turning periodically. Sprinkle with coarse ground pepper on each side. Press in with a dough roller. Bake in oven at 150° for 6-8 hours with door slightly ajar.
