PUMPKIN BUTTER 4 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 cups cooked or canned pumpkin
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 packet Knox gelatin
Directions
Put pumpkin into a large sauce pan. Measure sugar and set aside. Add spice and Knox gelatin to pumpkin and mix well. Place over high heat, stir until mixture comes to a boil. Immediately add the sugar and stir well. Bring to a rolling boil and boil hard for one minutes, stirring constantly. remove from heat and ladle into jars. either cover with paraffin or follow directions on self canning jars.
