Sweet and Sour Pork Sauce Recipe

  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon wet mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup red wine (alcohol will cook off)
  • 1 cup pineapple, crushed and drained
Preheat oven to 325°. Mix all ingredients well, stirring to dissolve sugar. Put pork roast in a shallow roasting pan. Pour mixture over pork roast. Roast for 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 hours or until meat thermometer registers 155°. Brush pork frequently with sauce during the last 15 minutes of roasting. When done cooking, cover with foil and let stand for 10 minutes. Serve with sauce.
