Ranch Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe

Ranch dressing mix and onion soup mix create a tasty gravy for this tender pot roast.

  • 3 pounds shoulder or blade roast
  • 1 package brown gravy mix
  • 1 package onion mushroom soup mix
  • 1 tablespoon ranch dip mix
  • 2 cups water or beef broth
Place roast in slow cooker.

Blend mixes with water or beef broth and pour over roast.

Cook roast on low 6-8 hours.

NOTE: Carrots, potatoes, onions and mushrooms can be added. You will need to check directions for your slow cooker to see if they can be added in the beginning or at a later time. If gravy is too thin when you removed the roast and vegetables, you can whisk in a mixture of cornstarch and water and stir until thickened.
