TAMALE PIE 28 Recipe

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 - 16 ounce stewed tomatoes
  • 1 - 16 ounce can corn (creamed ok)
  • Chili powder to taste
  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 ounce can)
Brown meat in large skillet. Add onion and cook until tender. Add stewed tomatoes, corn, chili powder and corn meal. Lower heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add eggs and tomato sauce and put in greased casserole dish. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
