Maple Glazed Baked Ham Recipe

Enhance the flavor of your ham with this maple glaze. The ham is sliced in a diamond pattern and then glazed for a touch of sweet maple flavor. A great ham for any holiday celebration or special gathering of friends and family.

Ingredients
  • 4 pounds ham boneless fully cooked
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • Cloves (optional)

  • Place ham on rack in shallow pan, fat side up. Bake at 325° F for 1 3/4 hours or until thermometer registers 140° F.
  • After first hour of roasting, remove ham from oven and score top, if desired, into a diamond pattern.
  • Combine brown sugar with syrup (honey or vinegar may be substituted) and mustard; mix well and spread over outside of ham.
  • (optional) Stud with whole cloves set into center of each diamond.
  • Return to oven to finish baking. After removing meat from oven, allow it to stand for 15 minutes before carving.

"We made this for Christmas Day. We made a bigger ham and doubled the glaze because we were having quite a few for dinner. We didn't use the cloves because neither of us likes them with ham but it turned out great. We got lots of compliments from our guests. The cold leftovers were even good."
