Spinach Lasagna 8 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ricotta or small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella, separated inch half
  • 1 egg
  • 1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained (10 oz pkg)
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 package lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 18 ounces spaghetti sauce, separated
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°. Lightly oil a 9x13 inch baking dish. Brown the meat. Add 15 oz. of the spaghetti sauce to the meat. In a large bowl, mix ricotta or cottage cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, egg, and spinach. Spread small amount of plain spaghetti sauce in bottom of baking dish. Layer the following in the pan:

1/3 of noodles

1/2 meat and sauce mixture

1/2 cheese and egg mixture

Repeat. Then top with remaining noodles and remaining plain spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle 1/2 C. mozzarella cheese over top. Cover with foil, and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes and then serve.
