Asian Style Sesame Chicken Wings Recipe

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated, fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 12 whole chicken wings (4 lbs tips removed
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 scallion, finely sliced
Preheat oven to 425°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Grease it lightly. In small saucepan gently heat oil and sauté the garlic, ginger and pepper flakes for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in soy sauce, honey, brown sugar and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in sesame seed oil. In large bowl, toss the wings together with the sauce. Arrange on the foil, avoiding crowding. Bake for about 35 minutes, until browned and tender. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and return to oven for 3 to 4 minutes to toast seeds. Remove to serving plate and sprinkle with scallions.
