Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 box Uncle Bens long grain & wild rice
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 3 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 2 cans cream of celery soup
  • 1 can mushrooms (small can) (optional)
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a casserole dish.

Brown hamburger with onions, celery and carrots; drain.

Meanwhile, cook wild rice according to package directions.

Add remaining ingredients, cover and bake in oven for 30 minutes.

"Good casserole. My only complaint is my carrots were still a little hard, so I would cook them more before baking the dish. Kids like it, but omitted the mushrooms and water chesnuts."
