CRUSTY POUND CAKE Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 3 cups flour (plain)
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon
Directions
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs one at a time, then add flour and milk until mixed thoroughly. Start in cold oven and bake at 300°-350° for 1 1/2 hours. Do not open door.
