Yummy Yams Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 can yams, drained (large can)
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Directions
In a bowl beat the sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, milk and yams with a mixer, just like if you are making mashed potatoes. Pour into a casserole dish and set aside while you make the topping.

For the topping, in a small bowl mix the brown sugar, flour, butter and chopped pecans. Sprinkle this topping on the yams. Bake at 350 for about 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.

NOTE: You can top the topping with marshmallows if you desire.
