| | Directions | | In a bowl beat the sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, milk and yams with a mixer, just like if you are making mashed potatoes. Pour into a casserole dish and set aside while you make the topping. For the topping, in a small bowl mix the brown sugar, flour, butter and chopped pecans. Sprinkle this topping on the yams. Bake at 350 for about 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown. NOTE: You can top the topping with marshmallows if you desire. |
