Cinnamon Rum Pecan Balls Recipe

  • 5 cups rounded) graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated orange peel
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups confectioners sugar (divided)
  • 1 cup Rum
Mix together well the graham cracker crumbs, pecans, cocoa powder, orange peel, cinnamon, salt, and 2 cups sugar in a large bowl. Stir in the rum and mix until all the ingredients are completely moistened. Form by hand into 1 inch diameter balls, and roll each ball in remaining sugar (sifted). Store in an airtight container, preferably for at least one week, before serving. Makes approximately 75 rum balls.
