Double Chocolate Crumble Bars Recipe

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal
Container: 9- x 13-inch baking pan

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9- x 13-inch baking pan.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar; beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  • Stir the flour mixture into the creamed mixture.
  • Spread the batter into the greased 9- x 13-inch baking pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the marshmallows over top of the baked bars; bake 3 minutes more. Cool.
  • Place the chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in a microwave using the high setting. Microwave one minute at a time, stirring after each minute.
  • Stir the cereal into the chocolate and peanut butter mixture. Spread this mixture over the cooled bars. Chill and cut into bars.
