Carrot Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • BARS:
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 small jars of carrot baby food
  • FROSTING:
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 ounces package of cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Container:9- x 13-inch baking pan
Directions
COOK

    BARS:
  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Put the sugar in the oil and beat.
  • Add one egg at a time and continue beating; then add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9- x 13-inch baking pan and bake for 20 minutes.
    FROSTING:
  • Beat margarine, vanilla, and cream cheese; then gradually add powdered sugar until thick.
  • Spread the frosting over the carrot bars when done.
