Sunshine Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup water - cold
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 egg whites
  • 3/4 teaspoon cream of tarter

  • Beat egg yolks until thick.
  • Add sugar to egg yolks and beat well.
  • Add water, flour, salt and mix until smooth, then stir in the vanilla.
  • Beat egg whites and add cream of tartar.
  • Beat again until stiff.
  • Fold into the cake mix.
  • Flour baking pan and pour in the mixture.
  • Bake at 350° F until toothpick comes out clean.
