Orange Candy Cookie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 pound candy orange slices, chopped (mix with flour)
  • 1/2 cup nuts or coconut (optional)
Directions
Cream sugar, shortening, eggs, flour, soda and salt.

Fold in candy, oats, nuts and/or coconut.

Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 325° for 12 minutes.
