Mix together cake mix, eggs, and shortening in a large bowl.
Mixture will be very thick.
Roll into small walnut-sized balls.
Place on greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cookies will be soft when taken out, but will firm up when cool.
Ice bottoms of two cookies using white icing.
Put the two iced cookies together to form an Oreo cookie.
Store in air-tight container.
