Pizza Dough & Pizza Sauce Recipe

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon Instant Yeast
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • Pizza Sauce
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 ounce can)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
Mix first three ingredients and allow yeast to work. Stir in oil and add remaining dry ingredients. Knead until soft. Allow to rest for 5-10 minutes. Roll out to size of Pizza pan. Place in pan, add sauce and desired pizza ingredients. If you double the sauce be careful not to double the salt. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 425-450°

Note: I always use Instant yeast in all my baking but I always test it to make sure it is good by allowing it to dissolve and begin to work. You do not have to do this process with Instant Yeast if you choose not to, just add it to your ingredients as you mix them together.
