White Rice Pilaf Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups white rice
  • 1 onion (medium), finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • In a 3-quart saucepan, add oil, rice and onion. Cook until rice is milky white (5 minutes).
  • Add garlic and stir until fragrant; add chicken broth and salt; bring to a full boil.
  • Turn down to a simmer, cover and cook for 25 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
  • Uncover and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
