Chili 129 Recipe

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 onion, chopped (large)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced, or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can tomatoes, slightly blended to remove chunks (28 ounce can)
  • 1 can tomato paste (6 ounce can)
  • 3 cans kidney beans
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
In a large soup pot, brown the ground beef and chopped onion in the bottom of the pan. Break the meat into small chunks as you cook it. Drain off the fat. Add the canned tomatoes and tomato paste, also add about 2 1/2 C. water for simmering. Add the beans, chili powder, salt and pepper. Stir it all up and bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for about an hour.
