Layered Pizza Casserole Recipe

Two layers of beefy pasta and cheese. Perfect to make in advance and bake when ready. All ages will enjoy this served with a green salad.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 1/2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 2 teaspoons basil
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons onion salt
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray.

Brown hamburger with salt, pepper, garlic and onion; drain.

Add the cooked macaroni, basil, oregano, onion salt and tomato sauce to the meat.

Put half of the mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle on half of each of the cheeses. Top with remaining meat mixture. Sprinkle with the remaing cheese.

Bake for 35-40 minutes until cheese is melted.
