Beef Stroganoff 87 Recipe

  • 1 1/2 pounds round steak
  • 1 onion, diced (medium)
  • 1/4 cup minced garlic
  • 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (large cans)
  • 1 packet mushroom and onion soup mix
  • 1 package sour cream (8 ounce pkg)
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
Cut up steak and brown with onion, garlic and mushrooms. When meat is cooked through, add soup, soup mix and cayenne pepper. Simmer until meat is tender. 25-30 minutes (low heat). Five minutes before serving add sour cream and mix well. Serve over noodles or rice.
