There are so many ways to enjoy zucchini but if you haven't tried it grilled yet you are in for a tasty surprise.
Grilling zucchini is very simple to do if you just keep a few tips in mind.
- Begin by rinsing the zucchini off with cold water and patting dry. Cut off both ends and the slice lengthwise into 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices. Be careful not to slice too thin.
- Coat each side with olive oil (or other cooking oil) and sprinkle with your choice of steak seasoning, garlic salt, onion salt, seasoning salt or just a little kosher salt.
- Place on a grill heated to medium-high, laying strips of zucchini perpendicular to the grill grids. Cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes, just until tender when poked with a fork.
- Remove from the grill and serve while hot. Do not overcook or they will become too soft.
