Quick Tips & Ideas

Partially Freeze Meat for Easier Slicing

When trying to cut thin slices or strips of raw meat, it is easier if you put the meat into the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour before cutting to partially freeze it. This helps firm up the meat, making it easier to slice. If the meat was frozen, slice it before it is completely thawed. This works well not only for thin slices and strips but also when cubing meat for soups and stews.
