What the heck is a cup? and wheat wavery crackers don't exist over here.

A cup is a measurement. We have a conversion calculator if you need to convert it to a different measurement. Go to http://www.recipetips.com/kitchen-tips/t--510/conversion-calculators.asp and you can enter the number of cups to convert and it will convert it to the measurement you need. As far as the wheat wavery crackers, I am not sure exactly what they are and do not know what recipe you are referencing but I would guess that they are just a wheat snack cracker of some type. Cooking Oils
Aren't Olive, Canola, Sunflower, etc., all different kinds of "vegetable" oils? My daughter has a recipe that calls for "vegetable oil" and is concerned that the oils we have in the cupboard (above) are unacceptable.
