Granny's Cream Cheese Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg yoke
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine, room temperature
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package cream cheese, room temperature (8 oz pkg)
  • ICING
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package cream cheese, room temperature (8 oz pkg)
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine, room temperature
Directions
Stir ingredients together. Mix with hands. Dough will be stiff, thick consistency. Put dough in refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill. Shape dough into little balls. Preheat oven to 375°. Bake for approximately 7 minutes, until light brown, on an ungreased cookie sheet. Ice cookies after they cool.

Icing:

Mix together all ingredients.
