Slow Cooked Italian Chicken Recipe

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (4 ounce each)
  • 14 1/2 ounces chicken broth
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes, cut up (14 1/2 ounce can)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 ounce can)
  • 1 green pepper, chopped (medium)
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Place the chicken in a slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the next 11 ingredients; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or until chicken juices run clear. Remove chicken and keep warm. Pour cooking juices into a saucepan; skim fat. Thicken with cornstarch and water mixture. Serve over chicken and noodles.
