Pork Chops with Sour Cream Recipe

  • 3 - 4 Center Cut Pork Chops
  • 3/4 teaspoon Sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Onion Sliced Thin (Large)
  • 1 can Condensed Beef Consommé
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
Combine sage, salt and pepper. Rub pork chops with this mixture. Brown pork chops lightly in very little oil. Drain off any excess fat. Add sliced onions and beef consomm. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Then to thicken gravy, combine sour cream and flour in a bowl until thoroughly mixed and very smooth and slowly add to pork chops and beef consomm. Simmer for 10 more minutes. Suggestion: Delicious served with egg noodles.
