Slow Cooker Pork Chops and Rice Recipe

A great way to prepare moist and delicious pork chops, along with a tasty rice side dish all in one pot.

  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup rice (not instant)
Container: 5 or 6 quart slow cooker

  • In skillet on stove brown pork chops in oil until golden. Place in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Pour the water and soup mix into the pan used for browning the pork chops. Stir to loosen any bits from browning the chops. Pour this over the pork chops in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low setting for 6-7 hours. Take chops out two hours before dinner and add rice to crock pot. Lay chops back into pot and cook for remaining 2 hours.

"Easy way to cook pork chops. They weren't all dried out either. The rice was really flavorful. The rice could have been cooked long because it was not completely tender but next time I will add it in for the last 3 hours instead of the last 2 hours."
