Orange Sherbet Fudge Recipe

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup Butter
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1 pack white vanilla chips (12 ounce pack)
  • 1 jar marshmallow cream (7 ounce jar)
  • 3 teaspoons orange flavoring
  • 12 drops Yellow Food Coloring
  • 5 drops red food coloring
Prepare and set aside in large mixing bowl: chips, marshmallow cream and orange flavoring. Prepare buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Then: mix sugar, butter and whipping cream in a med-large kettle. Cook on medium heat until liquid comes to a full boil stirring constantly. Set timer to 4 minutes and continue to boil for this time. Remove from heat and pour into large bowl containing other ingredients. Stir well. Quickly take out about 1 cup of the white mixture before adding food colorings. Then add colorings stir well and spread in 9 x 13 buttered pan. Quickly take a spoon to dip white mixture by spoonfuls onto orange candy in pan at different spots, then take knife and swirl to make sherbet appearance. Cool in refrigerator for at least 1 - 2 hours before cutting.
