Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Bars Recipe

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs (Large)
  • 1 package Semi-sweet morsels (12 ounce pkg)
  • 16 ounces Cream cheese (2 - 8 ounce pkg)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 egg (large)
Combine: flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in Semi-sweet morsels. Spread 3/4 of cookie dough in greased 9 X 13-inch pan.

Combine: cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract and egg. Whip until smooth.

Spread cream cheese mixture over cookie dough. Place dollops of remaining cookie dough on top of cream cheese mixture. Bake at 350° for 45 -50 minutes or until top is golden brown and toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
