Italian Spinach Pie Recipe

  • 1 package sweet Premio Sausage
  • 1 onion - chopped
  • 2 packages frozen chopped spinach - thawed
  • garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese - shredded
  • 2 pie crusts
  • Take sausage out of casings and saute with the chopped onion until cooked through.
  • Drain fat.
  • Cook and drain spinach.
  • Squeeze out the excess water from the spiach.
  • Mix sausage and onion with the spinach, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • Put in 9 inch pie shell.
  • Top with mozzarella.
  • Cover with top crust.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F. until crust is nicely brown approximately 30-40 minutes.
