Pulled Peppermint Candy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 stick butter
  • 3/4 cup water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon Lorann peppermint flavoring
Directions
1.) Ice a marble slab, wipe dry

2.) In a heavy 1/2 gal saucepan, add all the ingredients, except flavoring

3.) Heat to 180', stirring constantly, then cook to 260' not stirring, remove from stove

4.) Pour out on cold slab, sprinkle flavoring over candy, raise edges of candy w/ a spatula

5.) When cool enough to handle, pull like taffy til it begins to look dry and rigid, Pull into a long thin roll, lay out on slab and cut into small pieces

Store in airtight container

Note: Can't make on rainy days! Sugar will ball.
