Prune Filled Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup prune juice
  • 1 cup cooked prunes
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup prune juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
Combine brown sugar, shortening, egg, flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and 1/2 cup prune juice. Cook together cooked prunes, sugar and 1/4 cup prune juice. Remove from heat and add lemon juice.
