OLD DUTCH CARAMEL CORN Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 package Old Dutch puffcorn
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
Preheat oven to 250°. Combine butter, brown sugar, and syrup in 2 qt. sauce pan. Cook on medium heat until mixture has melted. Once mixture has melted, add baking soda (it will foam). Pour popcorn into large roaster pan. Pour caramel mixture over popcorn. Stir until coated. Place in oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven, pour out on wax paper. Let cool. For variation, drizzle melted chocolate over top.
