The bacon adds a lot of savory flavor to these green beans. Use fresh green beans when possible for great tasting beans.

  • 2 cans Green Beans (16 oz., any style) or 5 cups fresh
  • 1 pound bacon cooked crisp and cut into pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Heat green beans and onions powder together. If using fresh green beans, cook until just tender; drain.
  • Add bacon and serve hot. You may add 1 tbsp. butter before serving if desired.

"I used fresh green beans form our garden for this recipe. They were delicious with the bacon. When I cooked the bacon I didn't cook it real crispy. Then when the beans were cooked I put the beans and bacon in a fry pan with a little melted butter and heated them together until hot. This cooked the bacon a little more before serving. We loved them. So good with the bacon."
