Homemade Chili Sauce Recipe

  • 10 pounds tomatoes
  • 1 pound White Onions, chopped
  • 4 buds Garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 Bell Peppers, chopped
  • 2 Hot Red Peppers, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 quart Vinegar
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and cook for 3 hours -- until thickened. Stir frequently, do not burn. Pour into pint jars, add lids and process 5 minutes to seal.
