Ingredients
5 pounds tart apples
3 cups apple cider
4 cups sugar
3 teaspoons Cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
Directions
Wash, peel, core and quarter apples. Bring apples and cider to a boil in heavy saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 to 25 minutes. Puree apple mixture in a blender. Add sugar and spices, mixing well. Pour puree into a shallow baking dish and bake at 300° for 2 hours or until thick enough to hold its shape. Pour into hot sterile jars and seal. Makes about ten 6 oz. jars.
