Barbeque Spare Ribs Recipe

  • 2 sides (2 - 3 lbs spare ribs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup Catsup (ketchup)
  • 1/2 cup dark syrup
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup Worchestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Place ribs in large boiler and add water to cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until ribs are fork tender. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to simmer for 5 minutes...stirring constantly. Drain ribs. Brush both sides of ribs with sauce (very generously). Grill, basting frequently (about 10 minutes on each side or until brown. Heat remaining sauce and serve with ribs.
