Hawaiian Ham and Cheese Sandwiches Recipe

Sandwiches that will feed a crowd. You make it up the night before which makes it so handy when you are entertaining. The sweet Hawaiian rolls and the salty ham and seasonings are great together.

Ingredients
  • 1 package Hawaiian King sweet rolls
  • 1 pound ham, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Cut rolls in half. Place desired amount of ham on each roll. Cut slice of Swiss cheese in half then fold cheese in half and place on top of ham. Fold sandwich back together.

In a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder, allow to cool for 5-10 minutes.

Pour the butter mixture over the top of the sandwiches. Sprinkle poppy seeds over the top.

Place foil lightly over the top and refrigerate overnight or for 6-8 hours.

Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.

"I make these every year for the holidays. The are great hot out of the oven or room temperature. The bottom bun is slightly soft and the top is crusty with the gooey cheese in the middle."
