Chicken Marinara Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can tomato sauce (28 ounce can)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 box angel hair pasta
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

In a skillet, sauté oil and onion over medium heat until softened.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the tomato sauce, basil, salt, oregano, pepper and cooked chicken. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook pasta until al dente according to package directions; drain.

To serve, serve sauce over pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan, if desired.
