Tender Tasty Cucumbers

When harvesting your own cucumbers, pick them as early in the morning as possible. Do not let the cucumbers become overripe. Overripe cucumbers will cause the plants to start to slow down its seed development. Keeping mature cucumbers picked encourages production to continue. Because of their high moisture content, cucumbers do not store well but can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, pickling is your best choice.
