Sicilian Muffuletta Recipe

  • 1 round loaf of crusty Italian bread (10 inch )
  • 1 cup marinated olive salad (jar)
  • 4 ounces Mortadella Italian ham
  • 4 ounces Capocollo ham
  • 2 ounces Genoa salami
  • 4 ounces Provolone cheese
1. Slice the loaf of bread in half cross-wise. Hollow out the inside of the bread to make room for the meat and cheese. (You can save the bread chunks to make homemade croutons).

2. Spread 3/4 cup of the olive salad on the inside of the top and bottom of bread loaf. Layer meat, cheese and remaining olive salad.

3. Press together the top and bottom of sandwich and wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight. Unwrap before slicing.
