CHOCOLATE TOOTSIE ROLLS Recipe

Ingredients
2 tablespoons softened butter or margarine
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup dry powdered milk
3 cups powdered sugar
Directions
Mix the softened butter with corn syrup. Add melted chocolate. Mix well; add vanilla. Combine the dry milk & powdered sugar; add to chocolate mixture. Stir as long as possible with a spoon or heavy-duty mixer; then dump onto a breadboard or counter top & knead till very smooth & easy to handle. Roll into a long roll & cut to the desired lengths. Wrap each piece in plastic wrap twisting the ends.
