Dried Apple Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups cooked dried apples
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons Baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 box raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup nuts
Directions
Mix together shortening and sugar. Add remaining dry ingredients. Add dried apples, raisins and nuts into batter. Bake at 300° for approximately 1 hour. Keep a close watch on the cake so it bakes evenly.
