Ingredients
  • 4 cobs of corn, with husks
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or green onion tops
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
  • Prepare corn for grilling. Peel back husks, leaving husks attached to base of cob. Remove and discard corn silk from ear of corn. Reserve a thin strand of inner cornhusk from each cob; bringing attached husks back up over each ear; tie with reserved strips of cornhusk. Soak corn in cold water to cover at least 20 minutes.
  • Preheat grill according to manufacturer directions.
  • Combine butter, chives, salt and pepper in small bowl to make spread; mix well. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Drain water from corn. Keeping husk intact around corn cobs; place cobs directly onto grill grid over medium heat. Grill 20 to 25 minutes or until corn is tender, turning twice. Carefully pull back, twist and remove husks; spread with chive spread.
